Project
ANNA - Animals Now in Need of Assistance
OCPoundHounds
(OCPH) Non-Profit Small Breed Rescue has instituted Project ANNA
Animals Now in Need of Assistance
dedicated to sponsoring spay/neuter
costs for, but not limited to, small breed dogs for low and lost-income families, fixed-income families, members of the disabled
community, the elderly, and homeless / shelter rescued animals in the Orange County and Inland Empire.
Project ANNA's Community
Spay and Neuter target in 2010 is the sponsorship of 25 spay and 25 neuter requests for dogs and cats to advocate and communicate
the need for responsible pet wnership and lower the euthanasia rates in the shelter system.
Project
ANNA's 2010 rescue target is to identify at least 30 at-danger shelter dogs from Kern
County's High-Kill shelter, spay and neuter them and to re-home them in forever homes in Orange
County and the surrounding area.
Last year, in 2009 Project ANNA successfully sponsored 9 community dog spays and neuters, 11 cat spays and neuters (owned, not feral) and 15 rescue spays
and neuters
